A YEAR OF IMPACT 2025

Dear Friends,

In 2025, we intensified our efforts to provide vital, dignified support to Israeli families facing poverty and crisis.  This year saw a significant expansion of our activities - much of it driven by the ongoing impact of the war - alongside our long-standing welfare work within Israel’s social services framework.

At the heart of Ten Gav’s work is a simple but powerful model: connecting caring donors directly with individual families to meet specific, urgent basic needs. Whether it’s financial aid, essential household items, tuition assistance, or other critical support, each contribution makes a tangible difference for a real family in need.

We have more than doubled our impact over the past three years, distributing 7.7 million NIS ($2.4 million) of goods and services to 6,848 vulnerable individuals in 2025.

We are proud to share below some highlights of this past year.

705 families assisted |  2.5 million NIS ($798,000 )

In 2025, Ten Gav placed a strong emphasis on supporting Israel’s reservist families. Prolonged reserve duty, sudden loss of income, and ongoing disruption to family life left many households financially vulnerable. What began in late 2024 as a small number of emergency requests quickly grew into a steady, daily flow of urgent appeals for help.

Ten Gav responded with targeted assistance designed to stabilize families at moments of acute stress and to prevent short-term crises from becoming long-term financial collapse. Support included emergency financial grants, beds and essential household appliances, tuition for vocational and academic studies and summer programs for children.

This work was strengthened through close collaboration with Hamal Hanoch Daum, HaOgen, The Reservists’ Wives Forum, and municipal social services departments, enabling us to reach families at the right time and with the right kind of support.

Daniel, a father of five from northern Israel, served an extraordinary 267 days of reserve duty throughout 2025. To cover his family’s additional expenses during this prolonged absence, he took out personal loans, straining an already difficult financial situation.

"Our hot water system broke on the very day my wife was due to give birth. The grant from Ten Gav arrived right when we desperately needed it. I had no other way to cover these sudden costs. Their support gave us breathing room when everything felt overwhelming."

SUPPORT FOR EVACUEES

202 families assisted |  835,000 NIS ($266,000)

During the Am Kalavi War in June, twelve days of intense missile and drone attacks upended daily lives for thousands of families. Ten Gav acted immediately, mobilizing social service partners to deliver urgent assistance.

As families transitioned from temporary accommodations to permanent housing, Ten Gav provided beds, household appliances, and mattresses for public bomb shelters. Support reached the hardest-hit cities of Petach Tikva, Holon, Ramat Gan, Haifa, Kiryat Motzkin, Akko, and Rishon LeZion.

In 2025, Ten Gav also assisted families returning to Kiryat Shmona and Metula, helping them rebuild their homes and regain stability.

Yair Orenboch, Deputy Head of the Welfare Department in Petah Tikva, coordinates frontline social services and partners closely with organizations like Ten Gav to reach families in crisis.

“Ten Gav empowered us to step in where the need was most urgent, supporting the cases social workers identified as truly critical. We watched families regain the spark in their eyes - a renewed sense of hope that softened the weight of their circumstances."

ASSISTANCE FOR NOVA SURVIVORS

64 survivors assisted | 193,000 NIS ($61,000)

Ten Gav continued its close partnership with the Department of Social Services in Netanya to provide holistic, trauma-informed support for Nova survivors.

Assistance included direct financial aid, therapeutic group activities, rent and tuition support, and psychological services - complementing government programs and addressing gaps in care.

Noa Randlich, a social worker at Yated Netanya, works closely with Nova survivors, supporting their emotional recovery and helping them navigate long-term rehabilitation in the aftermath of the trauma.

“Thanks to Ten Gav’s support, survivors have been able to face emotional challenges, continue their recovery, and feel personally supported."

PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATIONS FOR CHILDREN

83 children assisted | 336,000 NIS ($107,000)

Ten Gav responded to a sharp increase in demand for psychodidactic and psychodiagnostic evaluations in 2025, particularly for at-risk children affected by war-related trauma. Long wait times, often exceeding six months, meant that many children were unable to access the assessments required to begin therapeutic or educational interventions.

In Ofakim, for example, where children were directly affected by the events of October 7, social workers reported unprecedented levels of anxiety, emotional distress, and learning difficulties. Ten Gav funded 45 critical evaluations, providing clarity around learning and emotional challenges that might otherwise have gone unidentified.

Suzi Morsiano Davidpur, Director of Social Services in Ofakim, oversees critical support programs for vulnerable children facing trauma and emotional distress, especially in the aftermath of the war.

"Ten Gav is deeply attuned to the unique challenges our community faces. Their flexible and thoughtful approach allows us to provide tailored solutions that truly meet the diverse needs of our children and families."

COURSE TUITIONS FOR YOUNG ADULTS

69 recipients | 315,000 NIS ($100,000)

In 2025, Ten Gav funded academic and vocational training programs designed to increase earning potential and promote long-term independence.

Courses included Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Studies, Graphic Design, and professional certification programs. We helped young adults living in Ofakim, Or Akiva, Harish, Hadera, Netivot, and Jerusalem.

This year saw the completion of a six-month EMT (emergency medical technician) course with Magen David Adom (MDA) and Kidum Noar - the Jerusalem Municipality's Department for the Advancement of Youth, funded by Ten Gav. In June 2025, Ten Gav attended the graduation of 15 young adults who completed the course.

Lia, an 18-year-old participant from Jerusalem, completed emergency medical training made possible through Ten Gav’s tuition support. Growing up in a family coping with ongoing medical and financial challenges, the course provided both practical skills and a meaningful step toward her future.

"The course gave me tools that I truly need in my daily life. When you grow up surrounded by medical challenges, you want to feel capable - not helpless. Learning how to respond in an emergency strengthened my confidence and helped me understand that the medical field could be part of my future."

SUMMER DAY CAMPS FOR CHILDREN

Over 1500 children in 11 cities | 677,000 NIS ($216,000)

This year, Ten Gav enabled hundreds of children to attend summer camps, enjoy the pool, and participate in recreational activities - providing joy, respite, and meaningful family bonding during an especially challenging period.

Among them, 105 children living in domestic violence shelters enjoyed a fun day out.

In addition, 730 children from reservist families attended summer programs, offering parents much-needed relief after nearly two years of instability and security threats.
