Nira Shochet, Manager of El Yam Resort in Netanya, talks about the challenges faced by many Israelis from Southern Israel, on October 7 and the weeks following. Thanks to the support of our donors, Ten Gav was able to secure accommodation for hundreds of Israeli families seeking refuge from both the South and North of Israel.

The Social Services Agencies we work with in Ofakim, requested Ten Gav to provide 90 tablets to children with special needs. These tablets not only serve as valuable educational tools but also as a comfort and distraction for these children that will significantly improve the quality of life for these families. Many of these families are caring for multiple children with special needs, and in some cases, fathers have been called for reserve duty, leaving the mothers with the challenging responsibility of managing their families alone. Thanks to the support of our donors, we were able to provide 90 tablets to these children with special needs from Ofakim.

Rabbi Yigal Tzipori, the head Rabbi of Chabad in Kiryat Shmona, extends heartfelt appreciation to Ten Gav for their invaluable support as the war continues in northern Israel. Despite evacuation orders, 3,500 elderly and ill Israelis remain in Kiryat Shmona. Rabbi Tzipori, in collaboration with the city council, is actively coordinating efforts to provide essential assistance and supplies to these vulnerable residents, thanks to the assistance of Ten Gav.

Through Ten Gav's Emergency Relief Fund, we were able to distribute 59 laptops to students at Bar Ilan University who are also evacuees and reservists, allowing them to be able to continue their studies despite their difficult circumstances.

Take a minute to listen to Einat Hatzamri Shavit, a Social Worker from Netanya, as she describes the trauma and devastation these young survivors live with daily. Therapy for these young adults is crucial and Ten Gav is proud to be involved in this special project.

Miriam Didi, Director of Social Services in Netivot, explains that this year, more than ever, summer programs are crucial for her clients' children. These children have experienced a difficult year with a highly disrupted school schedule. Providing them with the opportunity to attend day camps or visit the local pool not only ensures their safety but also offers them a much-needed sense of stability and security.
